What began in 2012 as a collaboration with two people surviving through a makeshift recycling economy became something much deeper: a record of friendship, trust and a love shaped by extraordinary circumstances.

The film follows Truth and Kitty through the unseen spaces of the city: their apartment, motels, jails, hospitals and a mountain cave overlooking the glow of Las Vegas.

Through years of change, hardship and uncertainty, their relationship is tested in ways neither could have imagined. What emerges is not a story of circumstance alone, but a portrait of two people navigating survival, devotion and the complicated reality of love.

Truth & Kitty gives presence and dignity to two people often overlooked by a city built around excess and escape.

Rather than reducing them to their struggles, the work reveals humour, tenderness, resilience and the enduring human need to be seen. It is an unconventional love story about faith, endurance and what remains when life becomes more difficult than either person expected.
